It is never the ones who have it coming. It is never a convenient week. Somehow it is always, always the person who was quietly holding the whole thing together for everybody else.
It is what you say when you do not have one. Ask a plumber why your ceiling is soaking wet and see how far mysterious ways gets him.
If you can do anything, and you did not, then that was a decision. Every single time. You had the power, you were apparently watching, and you sat on your hands. When a human being does that we do not call it a plan.

You cannot be angry at nothing. I am angry at the idea. At being told, while the whole thing was on fire, that the fire was a gift, and that the correct response was gratitude.
